bought the RENEE Midnight Kajal because I was searching for a smudge-proof option, as kajal tends to spread quickly on my eyes.
​The reviews online suggested it was both smudge-proof and waterproof. I can confirm that it is definitely waterproof.
​Here’s my main observation: I noticed that when I tested it on my hand, it did not smudge. However, the experience was different on my eyes. The warmth and natural oils of my eyelids caused it to smudge and spread after just two or three hours of wear.
​So, while it looks promising on a simple patch test, it did not live up to the smudge-proof claim for my eye area. I wasn’t particularly impressed with its staying power for all-day wear.
​However, if you’re looking for a kajal that blends easily and is perfect for creating a smokey eye look, this could still be a good, affordable option for you to try!
